Gulfsat / Data Services

Past the
last mile of every
map.

Carrier-grade satellite broadband for the rigs, ships, fleets, and stations terrestrial networks will never reach. Engineered for the places where uptime is the only thing that matters.

Gulfsat brings decades of experience in designing, deploying, and managing advanced satellite data networks for broadcasters, enterprises, and government clients. With proven expertise in GEO/LEO satellites using Ku- and Ka-band systems, the team specialises in link budget analysis, frequency coordination, transponder management, and end-to-end satellite infrastructure design. The Gulfsat engineering team has built advanced IP-based transport solutions and complex VSAT architectures serving industries such as oil & gas, defence, and large enterprises.

Closed Satellite Networks

Private VSAT,
built around your operations.

Closed satellite networks — also known as private VSAT networks — are purpose-built communication systems where the entire infrastructure is dedicated to a single customer. The central hub is typically deployed at the customer's head office, ensuring full control over operations, data flow, and security policies. The network can be configured in a star topology, where all remote sites communicate via the hub, or a mesh topology that allows direct site-to-site communication for lower latency.

These networks are designed with strong emphasis on security and performance. Third-party encryption devices can be integrated at both the hub and remote terminals to provide end-to-end data protection. Baseband technology — TDMA, SCPC, or hybrid — is selected to match each project's bandwidth, latency, and resilience demands.

For oil & gas operators, closed networks enable reliable transmission of real-time rig data from remote fields to centralised control centres. For government entities, Gulfsat provides highly secure, encrypted communication networks that seamlessly connect 20 or more locations globally.

Maritime Connectivity

Connected at sea,
across every ocean.

GEO reliability,
LEO responsiveness.

Gulfsat delivers reliable, high-performance maritime satellite connectivity designed to keep vessels, offshore platforms, and maritime operations connected — both regionally across MENA waters and globally across major sea routes. Built on robust GEO and LEO satellite infrastructure and supported by strategic partnerships with leading operators, Gulfsat ensures seamless, secure, and continuous connectivity at sea.

Multi-Orbit Architecture

GEO + LEO,
working together.

Maritime connectivity today is evolving through the integration of multi-orbit satellite networks — combining the wide coverage and reliability of GEO satellites with the low-latency, high-speed performance of LEO constellations. This hybrid approach ensures vessels benefit from continuous, high-performance connectivity across global sea routes, supporting critical operations, crew welfare, safety, and onboard digital services.

Gulfsat's multi-orbit solutions integrate its GEO fleet with a LEO constellation to deliver secure, high-speed broadband worldwide. The layered network enables advanced maritime applications — real-time data transfer, cloud services, and next-generation vessel operations — giving ship operators and offshore rigs the flexibility to optimise performance wherever they sail.

Satellite-Based 5G Last-Mile

Hybrid 5G + satellite backhaul.

A next-generation hybrid broadband solution that combines terrestrial mobile networks (GSM / 4G / 5G) with satellite backhaul, ensuring secure, resilient, and high-performance connectivity — anytime, anywhere.

Satellite-Based Internet with GSM/5G Last Mile solution is designed to deliver resilient, high-speed, on-the-go connectivity in dynamic and challenging environments. This solution combines satellite backhaul with a GSM/5G last-mile interface, enabling users to stay connected while on the move. It is particularly suited for emergency response and business continuity scenarios during regional disruptions, where terrestrial networks may be degraded or unavailable.

End users connect via a 5G / LTE data SIM over a secure private APN, which routes traffic to a Gulfsat core node. Traffic is then backhauled through satellite links via our teleport infrastructure, with international breakout (e.g., Europe). The architecture is fully independent of regional fibre networks — a secure, reliable, rapidly deployable communication solution when it is needed most.
