Gulfsat is one of the major satellite service providers in the MENA region. Gulfsat offers advanced teleport services through our global Satellite coverage and through terrestrial (Fiber & MPLS) network. Customers can co-locate their servers/network equipment at our Earth station and benefit from 24hrs monitoring, UPS, Power Generator with full control of their remote sites.
Antenna Farm
Gulfsat has one of the largest satellite/terrestrial nodes in the Middle East, Europe and Fareast. Gulfsat’s nodes/facilities offer global communication service coverage through the different satellites and international cable system.
Domestic Infrastructure
Gulfsat has peered with all ISPs through the fiber ring in Kuwait utilizing the state-of-the-art Gigabit Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) covering the entire State of Kuwait and utilizing 10 Gigabit Ethernet bandwidth that is well positioned to migrate to future speeds of 40 Gigabit Ethernet and 100 Gigabit Ethernet.
Gulfsat is connected to the backbone network, which is based on 10 Gigabit Ethernet, MPLS and MPLS Traffic Engineering technologies combining the best of both circuit-switched L2 VPNs and packet-switched L3 VPNs.
Gulfsat is also connected to the backbone which is transparent to the customer and can carry any type of network traffic, whether it is IP, IPX, SNA or even AppleTalk, over L2 or L3 VPNs. Our Gigabit backbone enables the delivery of high-capacity metropolitan transparent LANs and Storage Area Network (SAN) services, making us the service provider of choice for any critical and complex customer requirements. These include redundancy, 100% availability, no single point of failure, scalability, and cost effectiveness.

Gulfsat’s global fiber and satellite infrastructure enables us to deliver any Data/Video/Audio content with superior quality over point-to-point connectivity.

International Backbone
Gulfsat teleports are connected via two fully redundant STM-1 fiber links to multiple tier-one Internet backbone providers in the US, UK and Gulf.
